Obituary for Phyllis Ann Flaugher (Kouns) Phyllis Flaugher, 73, of Grayson, a lifelong resident of Hitchins, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018 at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born March 22, 1945 in Reedville, KY; a daughter of the late Coy and Kathleen Burton Kouns. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodford Barton Flaugher; two sisters, Ella Nora Kouns and Carolyn K. Kouns Keyes; and a granddaughter, Regan Leigh Arnold.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker; she was of the Christian faith. She is survived by a son, W. Barton Flaugher, II (Allison Hensley) of Grayson; two daughters, Cynthia Ann (Rodney) Rymer of Ashland and Kimberly Ann (Paul, Jr.) Arnold of Russell; a sister, Susie Kouns of Hitchins; two brothers, Doug (Rosa) Kouns and Perry (Donna) Kouns both of Grayson; six grandchildren, Casey, Blake, Carey, Reece, Landon, and Jacob; three great-grandchildren, Kayden, Sawyer, and Abel. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
