Obituary for Deloris Jean Maggard (Johnson) Deloris Jean Johnson Maggard 1939-2018 Deloris Maggard, 79, of Grayson passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. She was born August 7, 1939 in Sandy Hook, KY a daughter of the late Dewey and Belva Gallion Johnson. She is preceded in death by a son, James Maggard; a daughter, Jackie Lynn Maggard; three sisters, Lacy Johnson, Myrtle Mullins, and Carrie Lyons; five brothers, Charlie, Clarence, Rufus, Ishmael, and Clifford Johnson and a great-grandson, Elijah Lowe .
Deloris was a beloved homemaker, mother, and grandmother. She had worked as a cook in several local restaurants. She is survived by Leonard Maggard; a daughter, Priscilla (Philip) ton; a daughter-in-law, Janet Maggard all of Grayson; a brother, Procter Johnson of Sandy Hook, KY; three sisters, Virginia Maggard of Grayson, Gracie Clark of Columbus, OH, and Hulda Pervis of Ohio; two granddaughters, Heather (Jason) Lowe and Alesha ton; three great- granddaughters, Hayleigh Lowe, Raegan Lowe, and Paisley Lowe.
Graveside services will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maggard Family Cemetery on Mayhew Flats near Grayson Tim Porter, minister. Arrangements entrusted to the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Online condolences at www.
