Obituary for Linda Mae Porter (Emerson) Linda Mae Emerson Porter 1964-2018 Linda Porter, 54 of Grayson, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. She was born April 24, 1964 in Grayson a daughter of the late Edward and Clara Mae Romans Emerson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Nicholas Adams and Aaron Porter.
Linda was of the Christian faith and had attended the East Side Church of Christ in Grayson. She was a 1982 graduate of East Carter High School and had worked as a secretary for Smith Adjusting in Ashland, KY. In later years she had volunteered, working with Recovery-Fest in Ashland, KY.
She is survived by a son, Justin Adams of Grayson; two brothers, Tim Emerson of Grayson, KY and Edward P. Emerson Jr. of Obetz, OH ; a sister, Claudia Stander of Ashland, KY; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 1:00 p. m. at the Porter Family Cemetery, Charles Shields officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
