Theresa Butler Smith December 24, 1960 – May 19, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Theresa Butler Smith, 58, of Hueytown, AL passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Theresa served in the U.S. Army as a drill sergeant and a military police officer. She was also a registered nurse.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Butler and Frances Riley and her sister Mary Smitherman. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Dominique Smith and Alexandria Smith; her grandchildren, Marley, Carter and Jet; her brothers, Terry Butler (Kelly) and John Butler (Judy); her sisters, Nina Duncan (Dean) and Rose Poulos (Jon) along with several nieces and nephews. Chapel service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL at 12:30 p.m. Bro. George Carneal will be officiating.
