Obituary of Thomas King Thomas “Tom” Joseph King, 67, Fairmount, passed away at home at 12:25 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018, following a brief illness. Tom was born on July 5, 1951, to the late Walter Nelson and Anna Marie (DeBonis) King in Elwood. He married Pamela “Jill” (Wable) King on July 25, 1981, and she survives.

Tom retired from Pierce Co. in 2006. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Gas City. He enjoyed woodworking projects with his family and was a gun enthusiast.

Tom belonged to the Alexandria Conservation and Gun Club and Deer Creek Conservation Club of Grant County. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Troy (Mary) King, Marion, and Denise (Kasi) King, Fairmount; four grandchildren, Andrew White, Tristyn King, Kristyn King, and Audrey King; brother, Michael (Cindi) King; three nieces, Jeannie (Erik) Davidson, Terri (Jeff) Hutson, and Angela (David) Hostetler; two great-nephews and four great-nieces.

A funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Gas City. Father Christopher Roberts will be officiating. Tom will be laid to rest at Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summitville.

Because of medical conditions among the family members, visitors are asked to not wear perfumes, colognes, or fragrances. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cancer Services of Grant County, Tower Suites, 305 S. Norton Ave. , Marion, IN 46952 or St. Vincent Hospice, 2015 Jackson St., Anderson, IN 46016.
