Timothy D. McClarren, Sr., 59, of Broadalbin passed away on Thursday March 21, 2019 at Mountain Valley Hospice House, Gloversville following a two and one-half year battle with lung cancer. He was born in Amsterdam on June 17, 1959 a son of Donald and Shirley Cromling McClarren and was educated in Broadalbin. Tim was a lifelong area resident.

He was a skilled mechanic and master heavy equipment operator and worked for various construction companies throughout his career. Tim was predeceased by his mother, Shirley. Survivors include his father, Donald; two sons, Timothy (Kim) McClarren, Jr. and Patrick McClarren; two grandsons, Camden and Bennett McClarren; a brother, Donald (Cindy) McClarren, Jr.; a sister, Holly ( Kenneth)Bunn; his girlfriend, Barb Flansburg; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Tim’s request, there will be no services. Cremation was performed at Park View Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the Robert M. Halgas Funeral Home, Inc. 111 County Highway 106, Johnstown, NY 12095. His family would like to thank Dr. Evangelist, Dr. DeJesus, and Nicole Cangemi-Mellor and staff at NYOH as well as the nurses at Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care they provided during his final days. In addition, the family would like to thank Tim’s most recent employer, Bast Hatfield and his many co-workers for their caring support throughout his illness.
