Tom Glen Grindstaff December 20, 1972 – January 26, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Tom Glenn Grindstaff, 46, Elizabethton, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a Carter County native. Tom Glenn was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended East Tennessee State University.

He was employed in construction, farming and truck driving… He was preceded in death by his father: Tom Grindstaff. Tom Glenn was a member of Siam Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 16 years: Amanda Thomas Grindstaff.

His Son: Hunter Grindstaff, His daughters: Talley Carver, and Ashlynne Carver. His Mother: Glenda Rhea VanHuss Grindstaff. Sister: Diane Mitchell and Brother: Steve Grindstaff & wife Ashley.

Several nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019 in the Siam Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Roddy and Rev.

Rick Lak officiating. Interment will follow in the Nave Cemetery. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the church at 1:50 p.m. Thursday will be: Scott Elliott, Andy Wiseman, Newell Charlton, Hunter Grindstaff, Johnny Hyder, Stanton Alexander, Bart Woodard and John Woodard.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: E.A. Bowers, Phil Stanley and his church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Carter County Rescue Squad, the staff of Fresenius Dialysis and the Staff of Quillen Rehab Center. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
