Tomas’ Obituary Tomas Garcia Jr., 79, of Wichita Falls went home with the Lord Thursday, January 24, 2019. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2019 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Raul Martinez Lopez officiant. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Tomas was born on December 25, 1939 in San Diego, Texas to the late Tomas and Louisa (Reyna) Garcia. Tomas was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where he was a member of many organizations within the Church. He was a Guadalupano, and a member of the Santo Nombre.

Tomas retired from the City of Wichita Falls in 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Tomas Garcia III and Eloy Garcia; and two sisters. Tomas is survived by his wife, Benita of Wichita Falls; children Adam Garcia and wife Hermana of Wylie, Rudy Garcia and wife Monica of Brownfield, Ricky Garcia and wife Rosalie of Amarillo, David Garcia of Lubbock, Ronnie Garcia and wife Maryann of Lubbock, Randy Garcia and wife Erica of Lubbock, Michael Garcia and Vanessa Barrera of Wichita Falls, Ruth Marin and husband Lucas of Lubbock, Martin Martinez and wife Jill of Wichita Falls, and Rodolfo Martinez of Wichita Falls; twenty nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; as well as four sisters and two brothers, all of San Diego, Texas.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019, followed by a Rosary and Vigil beginning promptly at 7 p.m. at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
