Obituary for Tony D. Porter Big Stone Gap, VA Tony D. Porter, 66, passed away on Thursday (June 21, 2018) at Heritage Hall Health Care in Big Stone Gap. Tony was born on Feb. 29, 1952 to the late, Truman and Mae (Whittaker) Porter, graduated with honors (Salutatorian) from Powell Valley High School and had a B. S. in History from The University of Virginia.

In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion and Louise, and one brother, Clifford. Tony is survived by one brother, Truman Porter, Jr.; five sisters, Annette Thomas, Patsy Roberson, Peggy Porter, Norma Porter and Linda Porter; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was the youngest of ten children, and will be missed by all family members.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Oakview Cemetery in Big Stone Gap. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. Monday. To view the obituary online and offer condolences, please visit www.
