Verniece Julia Simmons Warren has returned to her heavenly home after a long, fulfilled life full of family, friends, and love. Born the eldest daughter of John Emery and Marion Olsen Simmons in Declo, Idaho; later moving to North Ogden, Utah. Married William G. Warren on July 31, 1946; sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on January 28, 1955.

Verniece is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Randee Warren Mellor, sister, Beverly Ellison, and brother, Kent Simmons. She is survived by son Terry Warren (Jeanne), granddaughters, Malina Stewart (Dallas) and Marci Lawson (James), great-grandson, Kelton Stewart, great-granddaughters, Remington Stewart, Whitni Lawson, and son-in-law, Kent Mellor (Susan). Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No.

Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
