Obituary of Virgil Henry Banaszak Virgil Henry Banaszak, 87, our fun loving, and generous father, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend was born into eternal life on January 24, 2019. Virgil was born on November 28, 1931 in Bay City, the son of the late Henry and Agnes (Wajak) Banaszak. After high school, Virgil worked at General Motors for almost 40 years.

His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Emily, Travis, Makenzie, Spencer, and Adalyn – they were the light of his life. Virgil leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Dorothy (Gary) Leinberger, Joyce (Ron) Weber, Mike Banaszak, Virgil (Debra) Banaszak, and Nancy Schultz; grandchildren, Jill (Bryan) Benchley, Sarah (Jason) Petrimoulx, Ron Weber, Jeff Weber, Erich Weber, Ben Banaszak, Chad Banaszak, Dorothy Griffin, Laura Latter-Lutz, Mike Gilda, Steven (Gwendolyn) Banaszak, Mark Banaszak, and Robert Banaszak, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents Virgil was welcomed home to heaven by his sons, Mark Banaszak and Johnny Banaszak, and his siblings.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
