Obituary of William Herbert Cataline Sr. William Herbert Cataline Sr., 82, of Esville, our loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family. William was born on July 20, 1936, in Whittemore, the son of the late Herbert and Clara (Roth) Cataline. He graduated from Bay City Central High School, Class of 1954.

After high school, William served in the Army National Guard for eight years and went on to retire from Bay City Powertrain after 24 years of service as a master electrician. In 1964, William married the love of his life, the former Joyce Brozewski. He was a lifelong member and served as an Elder of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Esville.

William enjoyed working with computers, photography, listening to music, and one of his favorite activities was riding bikes down to the river with his granddaughter. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years, Joyce; their children, William Cataline Jr. of Esville and Ann Marie (John) Powers of Sand Lake, and special granddaughter, Haley Powers of Sand Lake, who was the apple of his eye. Also surviving are his siblings, Richard (Kathy) Cataline and Robert Cataline, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, William was welcomed home to heaven by his sisters-in-law, Carol Cataline and Shirley Williams. William’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 2:00 PM until the time of his 3:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1705 Nebobish Ave. , Esville.

Reverend Erwin Hutter will officiate with private interment to occur in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Jeffrey Potts and his amazing staff, especially Taylor and Jenna; McLaren Hospice Team, and the wonderful staff at the Kroger Pharmacy in Esville. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
