The daughter of Forrest M. Cates and Virginia A. (Hall) Cates, she was born September 29, 1922 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. Naoma married Vernon Franklin Lee on August 19, 1943 in Blanchard.

She was Baptist in faith and was a devoted Christian. She retired from the University of Oklahoma, where she served as the supervisor of the print shop for over 30 years. Naoma was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and in her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and sewing.

In her younger years, Naoma loved riding horses. She was a great cook and everyone thought she made the best dressing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Lee; one sister, Mae Bell; three brothers, Neil Cates, Tommie Cates, Ray Cates; and a son-in-law, Jimmy Don Hudson. She is survived by one daughter, Franksine Hudson, of Chickasha; one son, Montie Lee and his wife, Barbara, of Amber; six grandchildren, Mark Hudson of Amber, Dana Want and her husband, Brian, of Amber, DeAnn Holten and her husband, John, of Anadarko, Monica Best and her husband, Greg, of Norman, April Ames and her husband, Rick, of Houston, Texas, and Jenny Laube and her husband, Ryan, of Oklahoma City; twelve great grandchildren, Katie Best, Tyler Best and his wife, Jacque, Dillon Best, Holly Best, Savannah Ames, Connor Ames, Sheridan Ames, Jay Laube, Colton Want and his wife, Morgan, Kirston Want, Whitnie Holten, and John Mark Holten and his wife, Britny; one great-great grandson, Tripp Holten; and many other loved ones and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 17, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard.
