Wadene Baucom, 77, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at her residence in Monroe. Wadene was born November 19, 1941 in Mecklenburg County to the late Wade Stephen Parker and the late Eloise Parker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Brice Edwin “Eddie” Baucom; son, Chad Baucom; and brothers, Jimmy and Howard Stephen Parker.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Monday, December 31, 2018 at Friendship UMC, 4695 Mt. Pleasant Rd. , Concord.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with burial in the church cemetery. Survivors include daughter in law, Rhonda Kay Baucom of Monroe; grandsons, Tyler Baucom and Blake (Elizabeth) Hull; granddaughter, Kayla Baucom; great-granddaughter, Jordyn Elizabeth Hull; brother, Mike Parker; and sister in law, Kay Parker. Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland is serving the Baucom family.
