It is with great sadness that the family of Walden Raye Johns, (known by all as Wally) announces his passing after a brief Illness on Friday March 8, 2019 at the age of 76 years. Wally will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 33 years Sharon Kaye Johns, his daughters Andrea Denise Taborn and Christina Ruth Nolan, grandchildren, Karissa Ann Taborn, Payton Richard Taborn and Kaylee Rayeann Chambers, great grandchildren Addisyn Kayanne and Haven Leigh, Brother Dewey, Sisters Sylvia Wheeler and Toni Summers of Petersburg and first born niece Kelly Raye which includes 8 nieces and nephews plus 8 great nieces and nephews. Proceeding in death parents Leotas and Lena Johns, brother Jerry and sister Evelyn.

Wally was a Winslow, Indiana native. He was an owner operator of a coal hauling business. Wally was a proud member of local union #181 of 35 years as an operating engineer.

Wally was a member of Masonic Lodge #450 in Patoka, Indiana. He proudly served our country in Vietnam for the US Army as APO SF 96238 as a Medic. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday March 16 at Hephzibah Littles Church in Glezen, Indiana (Actual address: 553 West County Road 150 South Petersburg, IN 47567 ) from 12pm to 3pm central / 1pm to 4pm eastern Wally had a fond love for dogs and animals of all kinds.

He had several dogs during his life that provided significant roles of comfort and happiness.
