Waltraud H. (Trudy) Brown of West Hurley died on July 13, 2018 at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. Born in Gardelegen, Germany on January 22, 1941, she is the daughter of the late George and Hedwig (Hedy) Werner Haemmerle. Trudy was a 25 year member of the Kingston Mannerchor and Damenchor and a volunteer for over 20 years as an E.M.T. for the West Hurley Fire Department.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edgar Brown, whom she married on October 17, 1964. Two children, Derrick G. Brown and his wife, Bridgette of Ulster Park, and Heidi Garrison and her husband, Michael, of Eureka, MT, along with several nieces and nephews also survive. Cremation will take place at Wiltwyck Cemetery Donations in her name to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA.
