Wanda Frances Hood Deaver Sarepta, LA Graveside services and interment for Ms. Wanda Frances Hood Deaver, age 74, will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Emma Cemetery in Sarepta, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2019, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill. Ms. Deaver was born in Sarepta, LA on December 27, 1944, to Charles Willard and Clemmie Pauline Hood, and passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in Shreveport, LA.

She attended school in Sarepta and was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, woodworking, playing card games, gardening, being outdoors, and keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. She loved her family and her two dogs, Izzy and Dooley. She is survived by her husband, Bob Tripp of Sarepta; five children, Renee Hicks and husband, Greg of Carolina Beach, NC, Pam Summers of Grandbury, TX, John “Butch” Deaver, Jr. of Delight, AR, Sherri Newsom and husband, Rodney of Springdale, AR, and Robert “Charlie” Deaver of Doyline, LA; eleven grandchildren, Kenneth Long, Jennifer Gibbs, Jill Hunter and husband, Jeff, Nici Harvey and husband, David, Casey Deaver and wife, Callie, Jake Nix, Beth Nix, Cory Deaver, Katie Deaver, Baylie Deaver, and Avery Deaver; brothers, Bennie Hood and wife, Mary of Rock Island, IL, James Paul Hood and wife, Lynn of Iowa, LA; sister, Maudie Adams and husband, Drew of Coushatta, LA; thirteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is also survived by her step-children, Leona Hobgood and husband, Paul, Lywana Dollar and husband, Larry, Lovella Stewart and husband, Prints, Reuban Tripp and wife, Dinah and their families. Ms. Deaver was preceded in death by her parents; husband John McFarland “Johnny” Deaver, Sr.; sister, Betty Hood; brother, Charles Hood, Jr., and great grandbabies, Kelsea and Michael Nix Cotton. Pallbearers will be Casey Deaver, Jake Nix, Cory Deaver, Tucker Gibbs, Reuban Tripp, Conner Gibbs, and Reeve Dickens.
