Ms. Wanda Sue Henry, 67, of Twin City passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Emory University Hospital following an extended illness. Ms. Henry was born March 10, 1951 in Metter to the late Walter Hendrix and Wilma Hutto. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elena Nicole Clark; brother, John E. Hendrix; great-grandson, Dante Lockwood.

Ms. Henry lived in Twin City the pass 43 years. She played bass guitar for Southern Glory, The Stewarts, and Gospel Carriers bands. Ms. Henry loved gardening, buying and watching movies.

She was a member of Baptist Rest Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Kaser (Darren Newberry) of Lizella, Ga. ; sons, Russell D. Thornton (Gail), and Jim Clark both of Twin City; sisters, Diann Barber of Swainsboro, and Lori Dukes (Tommy) of Wadley; grandchildren, TSgt.

John Thornton, JoAnna Crews (David), Ashley Lockwood (Phillip), Elliot Clark (Elena), and Lizzie Clark; special friend, Phoebe Stewart; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Graveside Services will be at Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 with Elder Mike Gray officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.
