William “Chuck” Charles West January 12, 1956 – March 05, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card William “Chuck” Charles West, age 63, of Pottsboro, TX, passed away on March 5, 2019, at his home in Texas. He was formerly from the Moberly, Jacksonville and Macon areas. Chuck served in the U.S. Air Force from 1973-1977.

He was a security guard at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, MO and was part of the Saigon Rescue Mission at the U. S. Embassy in Vietnam. Chuck worked at Con Agra in Macon for over 20 years. William is survived by his wife Kathy of Moberly, MO, two sons, William “Billy” Arnold and his wife Jessica of Sedalia, MO, and William “Craig” West of Moberly; seven grandchildren; three great-grandsons; and his mother, Martha Burton of Macon, MO.

He is also survived by his brother, Walter West of Bevier, MO; four sisters, Leona Apel and her husband Paul of Macon, Mary Russell and her husband Darrell of Lees Summit, MO, Cindy Jorden of Kirksville, MO, and Lori Diab and her husband Esam of Moberly, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Roy William “Bill” West; one brother, Roy Omer West; one son, William Christian West; and his grandparents. Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, March 29, 2019, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon, with Bro.

Jim Bolin officiating. Inurnment, with full military honors, will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be from noon until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
