Obituary for William “Junior” L. Leetch Jr. William L. Leetch Jr., 79, formerly of Grand Island passed away on September 25, 2018 at Central City Care Home. Celebration of Life graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at Oakridge Cemetery in Dannebrog. All Faiths Funeral Home is serving the family.

Jr. was born on November 21, 1938 in Milboro, South Dakota, son of William and Earlateen Etta Leetch. Jr. grew up in South Dakota before relocating to Nebraska. For many years he was employed as an over the road truck driver, delivering grain to many states.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1956 until he was discharged in 1957. Jr. was mechanically inclined and would rebuild motors. He enjoyed the thrill of stock car racing and won many trophies taking the cars he had rebuilt to car shows.

Jr. was well known for his strong will. Jr. is survived by his children, DeEtta Leetch of Grand Island, Desiree Leetch of Grand Island, Deana Leetch of Long Island, KS, Steffan Burnette of Omaha; brother, Denny Leetch of FL; sisters, Alice Kopiasz of Beaver Crossing and Marilyn Morris of Central City; nine grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jim Leetch; sisters, Clementine, and Peggy; brothers, Kenny, Steve, and Jimmy.
