Obituary for Betty Jayne Eirick Betty Jayne Eirick, 90, of Grand Island passed away peacefully on Friday, September 14, 2018. Services and celebration of Betty’s life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at All Faiths Funeral Home with Dan Naranjo officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tuesday at the funeral home. Betty Jayne Suppas was born June 17, 1928, in Darr, Nebraska, to Henry Suppas and Mary (Basheure) Suppas. She completed the eighth grade in Lexington, Nebraska, and worked on the family farm.

On April 5, 1950, she was united in marriage to John Eirick in Beatrice, Nebr. They later livied in St. Paul, and spent the remainder of their lives in Grand Island, while living in Grand Island, Betty was employed at Fonner Park and the Ramada Inn. She also did ironing for others in her home.

Betty’s loves include spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, embroidering, until her eyesight began to fail, watching scary movies, collecting “Snoppy” items, and listening to the music of Dean Martin and Elvis Presley. She is survived by her children, Tim (Janice) Eirick of Omaha, Greg (Kathy) Eirick of Grand Island, Cherrie Eirick of Grand Island, and Barbara Wells of Choctaw, OK; daughter -in- law, Bev Eirick of Galva, KS; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, Harley; two brothers, and five sisters.
