Obituary for Wanda Irene Johnson Wanda Irene (Daily) Johnson, 90 of Grand Island passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Services will be at 2 PM Friday at All Faiths Funeral Home. Daniel Naranjo will officiate.

Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Wanda was born May 22, 1928 on a family farm near Milburn, Nebraska to Verne and Vera (Empfield) Daily. She continued to live on the farm until she graduated from Merna High School in 1945 at the age of 16.

She furthered her education by attending a business college in Denver. She married Douglas S. Johnson, September 24, 1946. Together they had two sons.

Wanda made Grand Island her home in 1959. She worked as a bookkeeper, retiring at age 55. Following retirement, she volunteered at St. Francis Medical Center.

Wanda married Donald O. Beason, January 16, 1999. Wanda enjoyed playing bridge, dancing, cooking, baking and was most happy spending time with her granddaughters. She had a love for dogs.

Her last pet was a beloved miniature dachshund Lucky. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Robert James Johnson of Grand Island; granddaughters, Stephanie (Erin) Kunze of Lincoln, Deidre (Jon) Maguire of Lincoln, Holly Johnson of Grand Island and Jada Johnson of Grand Island; great grandchildren, Sylvie Kunze, Reid and Keira Maguire, nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her, son, Neil Douglas Johnson who died in 1978; husband Donald Beason, her parents, three brothers and one sister. Memorials are suggested to the Central Nebraska Humane Society. Online condolences may be sent to www.
