Obituary for Gerald “Jerry” Felton Gerald Lee “Jerry” Felton, 71, of Grand Island passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Memorial service and Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Father Marty Egging will officiate.
Gathering of friends and family will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday with a Vigil service at 7:00. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Jerry was born February 1, 1947 in Lincoln, NE, the son of Henry and Dorthy Mae (Williams) Felton.
Over the years Jerry lived in many places including Lincoln, NE and other localities in Nebraska, Bell Gardens, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Kentucky and Louisiana. His first wife was Carol, the mother of sons, David and Jeffrey. He later married Sandy Allen, the mother of Holly.
Jerry was currently married to the love of his life, Teresa “Terry”, with step-daughter, Jeanna. A mechanic by trade, Jerry was employed by Monfort Transportation and W J Elder Trucking. He retired from Romans Motor Freight in March of 2017.
He was always tinkering on his wife’s car, loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching old westerns. Those who will cherish Jerry’s memory include his wife, Terry; children, David (Cheri) Felton of Grand Island, Jeffrey (Sandra) Felton of Evans, LA, Holly Felton (Mark) of Fort Worth, TX and Jeanna (Clint) Westwood of Grand Island; four grandchildren, Miranda, Alex, Jhesiah and Gabbriella; and a friend of the family, Sandy Allen. He is also survived by sister, Debbie Felton; step-siblings, Patty, Marlene, Linda and Timothy; and many extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and step-mother, Ruby; sister, Elenore Wallman; brother, Larry and a special person from Jerry’s past, Danny.
