Obituary for Richard “Rich” D. Janus Richard “Rich” D. Janus, 73, of Grand Island, passed away peacefully, at his home on September 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held on October 19, 2018 at All Faiths Funeral Home. Dan Naranjo will officiate.

Rich was born on August 26, 1945 to Henry and Martha (Suminski) Janus, in Ord, NE. After graduating from Ord High School in 1963, Rich entered the United States Army in 1967. He served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1969.

After the Army, Rich worked at various jobs before settling in Grand Island and working for the Holiday Inn. Rich enjoyed classic cars, watching sports on tv, and playing golf. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Martha Janus; siblings, Ronald (Penny) Janus and Shirley (Garry) Stapp; and nieces, nephews, and friends.
