William’s Obituary William Sherman Roberts, 79, of Granite City, IL, passed away Sun. Feb. 24, 2019 at SSM DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton, MO.

He was born Jan. 10, 1940 in Murphysboro, IL to the late William Franklin & Lucille (Mitchell) Roberts. William had been a butcher for Hunter Packing Company for 28 years.

He is survived by a son: Michael John Roberts of East St. Louis, IL; 5 siblings: Betty Hackney of Pontoon Beach, IL, Brenda Broska of Granite City, Virginia Butery of St. Jacob, IL, Keith (Sue) Roberts of Brighton, IL and Marcie (Jim) Luckshis of Granite City; and his former spouse: Louise Roberts of East St. Louis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: William Joseph Roberts; a sister: Fronia Mathenia; and a brother: Paul Robert.
