William J. Lowers, 83 of Belpre, OH. passed away February 20, 2019 at the Camden Clark Medical Center. He was born July 30, 1935 in Parkersburg to the late James H. and Velma Barber Lowers.

Bill was a member of the Belpre Church of the Nazarene and liked visiting other churches in the area. Bill graduate from Parkersburg High School with the class of 1953 and retired from Marietta Memorial Hospital in 1996. Bill is survived by a brother, James Howard Lowers of Parkersburg; His nieces and nephews, Ed and Sherri Lowers of Belpre, Becky and John Townsend of Bellville, Tom Lowers and Debbie Richards of Parkersburg and Melinda and Robert Stalnaker of Charlotte, NC.

Several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta A. Bumgarner Lowers in 2003. A sister in law, Dorothy Lowers and Chester Richards.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00am at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Reverend Randall Kochersperger officiating. Burial will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
