Obituary for Willie Clyde Lewis Print Willie Claude Lewis – Nickelsville, VA Willie Lewis, 77 of Nickelsville VA, went to be with our Heavenly Father on February 25, 2019. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Willie enjoyed gardening and fishing but most of all, spending time with his family.
He was a loving father and husband. The joy of his life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Willie was loved by all that knew him.
He loved his home and sitting on his porch enjoying his beautiful mountain view. He was a retiree of Eastman Chemical Company after 36 years of Service. Willie was of the Baptist faith and baptized at a young age.
Willie was preceded in death by his Father, Simmie Lewis; Mother, Ruby Lewis; Brother, Robert Lewis; Brother, Arrie Lewis; Brother Ellis Lewis; Sister, Geraldine Lewis; Sister, Myrtle Darnell, Father-n-Law, Joe Good, Mother-n-Law, Margie Good and Son-n-Law, Christopher Dula. Willie is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lana (Good) Lewis; Son Kelly Lewis, wife Wendy of Church Hill TN; Daughter, Denise Dula, of Johnson City TN; Daughter, Cindy Moody, husband Barry of Kingsport TN; Daughter Amy Baldwin of Kingsport TN. Grandchildren: Cori James, husband Derrick; Jacob Lewis; Cody McMellan; Rebekah Moody; Kloie Lewis and Alana Baldwin.
Sisters, Betty Bowen, husband James; Lois Dockery, husband Fred; Sister, Lisa Snodgrass, husband Steve; Brother Arvel Lewis, wife Ruth; Sister-In-Law, Mitzi Lewis; Brother-In-Law, Fred Darnell. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at Gate City Funeral Home, on Wednesday 27, 2019.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the Gene Falin Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh and Rev. G.W. White officiating.
Greg and Becky White, Corinna James, Rebekah Moody will provide the music. Burial will follow the service, Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at the Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA. Jacob Lewis, Cody McMellan, Barry Moody, Rayford Dingus, Landon Stallard and Darrell Stallard will serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends will go in procession to the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Freedom Baptist Church, 1536 Independence Ave. , Mt.
