Obituary for Zelda G. Goranson Zelda G. Goranson age 64, of Zumbrota, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester, St. Mary’s Campus with family. A memorial service will be on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lands Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Pastor David Krinke officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Mahn Family Funeral Home –Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and for one hour on Friday before the service at the church.

Burial will be in the Mazeppa Cemetery. Zelda Gay Goranson was born on October 30, 1953 to Burton and Garnet (Stull) Goranson in Zumbrota. She was raised in Mazeppa and graduated from Mazeppa High School in 1972.

Zelda worked many years for Zumco and made her home in Zumbrota during this time. For the last 15 years she had been working as a Lab technician at Mayo Clinic. Zelda really enjoyed crafting, woodworking, traveling to craft shows, reading, cooking, making the holiday favorites, including “lard bars”, salted nut rolls, and stuffing to name a few.

She enjoyed playing softball in her younger years, attending the meat raffles and spending time with family. Zelda is survived by her 11 siblings, Shirley Webster, LeRoy (Nancy) Goranson, Patti Goranson, Ray (Cheryl) Goranson, Yolie (Russ) Donley, Linda Goranson, Lee (Margaret) Goranson, Debbie (Ken Dubreuil) Carrier, Sheila (Dennis) Albers, Zola (Rod) Harvey, and Dale (Mary) Goranson; sister-in-law, Nan Goranson; 17 nieces and nephews; and many more great nieces and nephews. Zelda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Burton Goranson; and brothers-in-law, Lewis Webster and Scott Monsrud.
