Alvin R. Schuchart, 90, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s eternal care, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Homewood at Plum Creek Nursing Center. Born March 26, 1928 in Littlestown, PA, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Emma (Staub) Schuchart. Alvin was the loving husband of Hilda M. (Raubenstine) Schuchart and with whom he shared sixty-five years of marriage.

Mr. Schuchart was a member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA. He was a carpenter/woodworker/cabinet maker all his life and retired from Ivan C. Dutterer Inc. after many years of service. In addition to his loving wife, Hilda, Alvin is survived by one son, Barry Schuchart and wife Babette of Thomasville, PA.

He was preceded in death by one brother Ralph L. Schuchart. A service to celebrate and remember Alvin’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with his Pastor the Rev. LaDonna Thomas officiating.

Burial will be in St. Bartholomew’s Church Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10 -11 AM, Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Alvin’s name to St. David’s Lutheran Church, 1032 Musselman Road, Hanover, PA 17331.
