Obituary for Alyssa C. Binns Alyssa C. Binns, 25, of York, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 83 Northbound, York County. Born on November 18, 1992, she was the daughter of Edward Rudy, II of Etters and her mom and best friend, Kelli (Beaverson) Rudy of York Haven. Alyssa was the loving wife of Nathan Binns; they were married May 24, 2014.

Alyssa was a 2011 graduate of Red Land High School. She went on to attend York College where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She was employed as an RN at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where she worked in labor and delivery.

Alyssa was always upbeat and positive, and loved to serve others, especially babies and children. She cherished time with friends, often posting the memories on Facebook. Alyssa enjoyed crafting, and shopping, especially at her favorite store, Victoria’s Secret.

A self-proclaimed foodie, she enjoyed trips to Red Robin and Chili’s, and also sitting down for a good meal with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, Alyssa is survived by her maternal grandmother Diane Zeiders, known by Alyssa as Gammy, her maternal grandfather, Richard Zeiders and his wife, Judy, her mother-in-law Ruth Binns of Etters, her sister-in-law Michelle Dively of Etters, and countless friends.

A celebration of Alyssa’s life will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Alyssa’s memory and spirit be honored with contributions to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, secure. jhu.
