Obituary for Lois Ann Bowles Lois Ann Bowles, 73, died on July 26, 2018. She was born in York on November 20, 1944, daughter of H. Donald and Effie (Knopp) Jamison. Lois was a vibrant, radiant woman whose personality drew many people to her.

She was especially known for her famous iced tea that could quench any thirst on a hot summer day. She was an active member of the Red Lion Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where she enjoyed sharing in the door-to-door ministry. She is survived by her husband, Charles “Herb” Bowles; son, Kevin and his wife, Grisel; son, Todd and his wife, Kim; and daughter, Danyelle Hutcheson and her husband, Rick.

She is also survived by siblings, Shirley Bowles and her husband, Carroll, Lorraine Greene and her husband, Robert, Lester Jamison and his wife, Erma, and Laverne Jamison. She was “Mom-Mom” to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by three sons, Rodney, Keith, and Darren; and her brother, Larry Jamison.

She will be greatly missed by all of her immediate family as well as her large spiritual family and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York, PA 17403.
