Obituary for Norma J. Smith Norma J. Smith, 86, of Hellam Township, died peacefully at home, Friday, July 13, 2018. Born in Hellam Township on August 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Levere L. and Matilda (Duncker) Ream. Norma was the loving wife of Ronald L. Smith; they were married May 5, 1972.
Norma was a loving homemaker. She was a life member of the Kreutz Creek Valley VFW Post #7045 Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of the Wrightsville American Legion Post #469 Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the York County Farm Women.
In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by her children, Vickie L. Kelly and her husband, Michael of Windsor Township, Roxann J. Pennachi of East Prospect, William L. Dietz, Jr., and his wife, Barbara of Windsor Township, Tamara L. Richardson and her husband, Robert of Belington, WV, Denise M. Mittel and her husband, Bret of Hellam Township, and Daniel L. Smith and his wife, Leona of Washington Boro. She is also survived by her sister, Dolores Carney and her husband, Pete of Wrightsville, her mother-in-law, Doris R. Kline of York, her 16 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her three sisters, Mable, Velma, and Pauline and her beloved grandson, Wayne Reeser, Jr. A funeral service to celebrate Norma’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York, with the Rev.
Kelly Shiflett officiating. Interment will follow in Kreutz Creek Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Norma’s memory may be made to the Kreutz Creek Valley VFW Post #7045 Ladies Auxiliary, 341 Yorkana Road, York, PA 17406.
