Obituary for Erma R. Hess Erma R. Hess, 85, of Dallastown died on September 15, 2018 at Manor Care – Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Dale P. Hess, Sr. Born in York on October 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Charles N. Stough, Sr. and the late Anna M. (Miller) Stough. She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

Erma was a nurse at the former York County Hospital for 23 years and was a nurse at Apple Hill Surgical Center and York Hospital for 8 years until she retired. She is survived by four children, Judith Ann Elsesser of Seminole, FL, Kathy D. Bowser of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Pastor Gregg R. Keckler of Gardners, and Todd L. Brenneman of York; three step sons, Donald E. Brenneman of York, Barry A. Brenneman of York, and Dale P. Hess, Jr. of Windsor; two sisters, Shirley M. Senft of York and Susan J. Smallwood; a brother, Donald N. Stough of York; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard E. Myers and two brothers, Clair J. and Dean F. Stough.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
