Obituary for Harold T. Nelson Jr. Harold T. Nelson, Jr., 83, died on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Barbara L. (Arkward) Nelson, sharing 42 years together. Harold was born in York on August 12, 1935, son of the late Harold T. Nelson, Sr. and Reba (Barton) Nelson.

Harold served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Caterpillar as a Supervisor after 30 years of service and then from Assurant after 10 years. He was a member of the American Legion York Post No 127.

He enjoyed sports and was a Green Bay Packers fan. Harold also enjoyed to paint and fix things around his home. In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by six children, Andrea L. Nelson, Troy L. Nelson and his wife, Priscilla, Jacqueline Brown and her husband, Mark, Allison L. Jackson and her husband, Vincent, Rosalyn Jones and her husband, Donald, and Chuck Johnson and his wife, Stacy; a host of grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Lorraine Hickman.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Michael G. Nelson and Stephen E. Nelson; and two brothers, Robert S. Nelson and William Nelson. Following cremation, a visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
