Obituary for Beverly A. Strickler Beverly A. (Ball) Strickler, 82 of Hellam, PA, died at her residence on October 17, 2018. She was the wife of the late Roy B. Strickler, Jr. Born July 19, 1936 in Yorkana, PA, she was the daughter of the late Catherine (Poff) and Maurice C. Ball, Sr. Beverly previously worked at the former Helen and Paul’s Beauty Salon that was located in York, PA. She was a 1954 graduate of Kreutz Creek Valley High School and a graduate of the former Rosengrant’s Beauty School.

Beverly was a longtime member of Fairmount United Methodist Church where she served on various Boards and sang in the choir. She was active in the Hellam Area C.R.O.P, the Hellam High School Alumni Association and the Eastern Band Parents. Beverly is survived by two sons, Kevin Strickler and his wife, Robyn of Hellam and Keith Strickler and his wife, Annette of Harrisburg, PA; a daughter, Heather Bitner and her husband, Jonathan of Hellam; five grandchildren, Patrick Strickler and his wife, Leigha, Morgan Strickler, Katelyn Strickler, Matthew Strickler and Rachel Bitner; and a brother, Randy Ball of Dover, PA.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Maurice C. Ball, Jr. A funeral service will be held Monday, October 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairmount United Methodist Church, 5835 Furnace Road, York, PA 17406 with Pastor Eddie Hutcheson officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Kreutz Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairmount United Methodist Church, 5835 Furnace Road, York, PA 17406 or to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601.
