Obituary for Winifred B. “Winnie” Johnson Winifred B. “Winnie” Johnson, 90, of York, died on October 16, 2018 at Country Meadows Leader Heights. Born in Ogdensburg, NY, on June 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Wallace and Olive (Ritchie) Baynes. She was the wife of the late David R. Johnson.

Winnie was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Steve D. Johnson and his wife, Stephanie of Spring Grove; daughter, Brenda J. Peters and her husband, Chris of Windsor, VA; grandsons, Alex and Ben Peters; granddaughter, Jennifer Smeltzer; and a great granddaughter, Callie Smeltzer. A private graveside service will be held in Virginia.
