Obituary for Phyllis I. Grove Phyllis I. Grove, 88, of York died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, The Village at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Dennis R. Grove. Mr. and Mrs. Grove were married for 61 years prior to his death in 2009.

Born November 9, 1929 in Felton, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Reichard) Huson. Phyllis worked for Spurg’s and Mack’s in Spry. Phyllis was a 70 year member of Red Lion Zion UMC.

She enjoyed playing dominos and cards with her friends from Spurg’s. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. She is survived by 4 daughters, Marlene J. Presswood and her husband, Nelson of Dover, Judy A. Kauffman and her husband, Dale of Brogue, Karen I. Doudrick and her husband, Jim of Dallastown, and Lori A. Campbell-Howard and her husband, Rev.

Courtland Howard of Red Lion; 2 sons, Barry E. Grove and his wife, Nancy of Montoursville and Randy L. Grove and his wife, Cindy of Sunnyside, WA; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Hengst; and 3 brothers, Donald Huson, Robert Huson, and Glenwood Huson. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, a brother, and 3 sons-in-law. A private graveside service will be held in Zion United Methodist Cemetery, Red Lion.
