Obituary for Amy Michelle Boyd Beloved wife and daughter, cherished mother, devoted grandmother and friend of many, Amy Michelle Boyd, age 52, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Harleton on September 11, 2018. Amy was born on January 2, 1966 in Mesquite, Texas to Jim and Sally LaRue. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Barnie and Elsie LaRue, Al and Mary East; her father-in-law, Jack Boyd and her mother-in-law, Sue Boyd.
Amy is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 33 years, Joe Jack Boyd; her sons, Nicholas Ryan Boyd and Anthony Joe Boyd and his wife, Stephany; her granddaughter, Claire Cabrera Boyd; her parents, Jim and Sally LaRue; her brother, Alex LaRue and his wife, Jessica and their son, Elliot Edward LaRue; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Parnell and Audrey Hooks and her husband, Danny; her brothers-in-law, Charles Richmond and Willie Richmond and his wife, Virginia; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who knew and loved her. Amy loved to garden, loved hummingbirds and loved to be outdoors, particularly in the woods. She previously worked for the New Diana ISD prior to joining her husband as co-owner of J.B. Compression Services, where she and Joe spent many long hours working together.
Amy loved her Lord and was always deeply involved with her church, Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, working diligently with the Fellowship Committee. She was always eager to help people, staying very busy and always active. Amy’s life was well lived and she was well loved by all who were blessed by her friendship.
Visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church, 16376 FM 449, Hallsville, Texas 75650. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Mulberry Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Warbington officiating.
Amy will be laid to rest in Little Hope Cemetery, Winnsboro, Texas. The family has requested in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Mulberry Springs Baptist Church Building Fund or to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be offered at www.
