Obituary for Winnie Dee Rouse Devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, Winnie Dee Rouse, age 97, passed into the arms of her Savior on October 27, 2018 in Marshall, Texas. Winnie was born in Mills County, Texas on October 20, 1921 to Franklin David and Minnie Octavia Harvey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred N. Rouse and her siblings, Ida Lee Alexander, Franklin David Harvey, Jr., Sam Harvey and Verta Mae Scott.

She is survived by her son, Larry Rouse and his wife, JoAnne of Karnack, Texas; her grandchildren, Shawn Rouse and his wife, Jessica of Ft. Worth, Texas, Shan Cockerell and her husband, Trey of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Teia Fleming and her husband, Scott of Kansas City, Missouri, Alicia Louise DeMoss and her husband, Charles of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Trey Farrell of Karnack, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Kier Rouse, Tanner Rouse, Ty Rouse, Kylee Rouse and Sarah DeMoss.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dorothy Harvey of San Angelo, Texas and a number of nieces, nephews and many friends who knew and loved her. Winnie loved her Lord and was a member of First Methodist Church of Waskom. Winnie loved to do oil painting, ceramics, play golf and in the early 50s, she played fast pitch softball for a moccasin company.

She enjoyed staying busy and worked many years for General Telephone before her retirement. Winnie’s life was well lived and she was well loved by many who were blessed by her friendship. Online condolences may be offered at www.
