Angelita “Lita” Valles Salazar, 67, of Big Spring, passed on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil service will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She had worked for Jackson Hewett Tax service for the last 15 years. Angelita also worked for the IRS in Dallas. Her hobbies were sewing, reading novels, Bingo and watching Disney Movies and most importantly she loved all her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren as they held a special place in her heart.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Enrique “Henry” Salazar of Big Spring; two sons: Robert Hernandez (Isela) of Houston and Edward Hernandez (Kelly) of Lebanon, TN; one daughter: Tara Esteron (Edward) of Seattle, WA; two step-daughters: Janice Gage (Richard) of Gilmer and Julie Salazar (Mike Bermea) of Big Spring; her mother: Anita Valles of Big Spring; two brothers: Esequiel “Lito” Valles, Jr. (Velma) of Big Spring and Raul Valles (Delia) also of Big Spring; one sister: Cruz Rodriguez (Ariel) of Melbourne, FL; 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Angelita was preceded in death by her father Esequiel “Zeke” Valles, Sr.; one son: Jose “Jody” Ismael Hernandez and one sister: Nora Valles Luevano.

Pallbearers will be Mathew Moran, Jake Hernandez, Mark Salazar, Chris Salazar, Isela Hernandez, JoAnna Hernandez, Martin Sauceda and Krista Hernandez. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Esteron, Zachary Esteron, Dylan Esteron, Roberto Hernandez, Isabella Hernandez, Deanna Hernandez, Antonio Hernandez , Gilbert Lopez, Joshua Hernandez, Justin Newby, Mia Oliva, Sydni Oliva, Tyronne Foster and Alexandria Whitesell. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
