Obituary for Ann M. (Beckstrom) Hetrick Ann M. (Beckstrom) Hetrick, 79, of York, died peacefully, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in Jamestown, NY on April 26, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Russell G. and Dorothy E. (Stromdahl) Beckstrom. Ann was the loving husband of the late George H. Hetrick, he died June 7, 1971.

Ann was a 1957 graduate of William Penn Senior High School. She retired from the York Newspaper Company, where she worked in the accounts payable department. Ann was a member of Yorkshire United Methodist Church.

She was a life member and past Matron of the White Rose Chapter #360 of the Order of Eastern Star, and was also a life member of Theta Master Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Ann was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member and past Worthy Advisor of York Assembly #90 of the Order of Rainbow for Girls, a member of the Red Lion Senior Center “Blue Birds”, and a member of the West Manchester Mall Walkers. Ann enjoyed cross stitching, knitting, crocheting, crafts, and traveling.

She especially liked the bus trips with the West Manchester Mall Walkers. Ann loved to spend time with her family and friends. Ann is survived by her daughter, Barbara A. Hetrick of Lebanon, her grandson, Nathaniel G. Schmuck of York, her sister, Karen M. Stuart and her husband, James of York, her brother, Gary R. Beckstrom of York, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 East Market Street, York. Interment will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Order of Eastern Star services will be held at 10:30 a.m., followed immediately by the celebration of Ann’s life.

In lieu of flowers, Contributions in Ann’s memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Central Pennsylvania Chapter, 101 Erford Road, Suite 210, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
