She is survived by: Her mother, Norma Robinson Cole of Doran, VA Daughter, Jessica Kay Nichole Casey and husband, Cody of Swords Creek, VA Fiancé, James Shortt of Richlands, VA Sisters: Pamela Gail Robinette and husband, Dave of Doran, VA Mary Susan Shortt and Michael Wayne Paul of Doran, VA Kristie Cole and Jimmy McGlothlin of Doran, VA Brother, Jim Terry Shortt, II and wife Lora of Claypool Hill, VA Nieces, Amber Paul, Keyla Griffey Nephew, Christopher Michael Paul Granddaughter, Lilly Grace Casey The funeral for April Leigh Short will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev.

Barry Absher officiating. Interment will follow at the Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Christopher Paul, Chandler Griffey, Michael Wayne Paul, David Michael Saunders, Ernest Casey and Tony Short.
