Obituary for Arbeulah Trivette Lambert “Wherever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories”. “Author Unknown” On Thursday, September 13, 2018, Arbeulah Lambert, age 88, of the Poga Community in Butler, Tennessee took her precious Lord’s hand to meet her husband and family in her new Heavenly home. Arbeulah was born and raised in Poga and was a daughter of the late John “B” Trivette and Callie Ward Trivette.
She was blessed to have been raised in a loving, Christian home by her grandparents, Joseph (Abe) Trivette and Addie Birchfield Trivette, whom were affectionately known by family and friends in the community as “Mam and Grandpa”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Troy Jackson Lambert in November 2002; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Ruth Greene Oliver in October 1988; and two sisters, Alberta Greene (Jim Greene) and Anna Mae Fortner (David Fortner). Arbeulah, affectionately known as “Maw Arbeulah” or just “Maw” to most everyone, retired in November of 1995 from the produce business that she and her late husband owned and operated for many many years.
The business was operational in Valley Forge, TN, Boone, NC and also in Linville, NC. She never met a stranger and made many, many friends during her years of business. Before opening the produce business, she and her husband owned and operated a store in Poga for many years.
Arbeulah was a devout Christian that loved “sharing the Lord” with everyone she met. She was almost never without her Bible in hand and she was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ in Poga and loved her church family as her own. She will be dearly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of meeting her.
Those left to carry on her legacy include two daughters, Velma Bunton and husband George, of Buntontown and Jackie Greene and husband Ben, of Flat Springs, NC; four sons, Troy (T.J.) Lambert and wife Susie, of Poga, Billy Joe Lambert and wife Lori, of Roan Mountain, Brandon Lambert (adopted grandson) of Georgia and Kenneth Lambert (adopted grandson), of Poga; one brother, Ernest (Junior) Trivette and wife Betty, of Poga; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends also survive. A service to celebrate the life of Arbeulah Lambert will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in the Piney Grove Church of Christ in Poga with Mr. Dean Estep, officiating.
Music will be under the direction of the church choir. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service on Saturday. The graveside service will follow in the Lambert Cemetery in Poga.
Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to especially thank her caretaker, Barbara (Bobbie) Nunley, the staff of Life Care of Elizabethton, the doctors and staff of Johnson City Medical Center.
