Obituary for James L. Regenold James L. Regenold, age 57, of Elizabethton, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at the Greystone Health Care in Blountville following an extended illness. He was a son of Ruth Weaver Regenold of Johnson City and the late John Charles Regenold. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Agnes Weaver.

Mr. Regenold was a graduate of the Herman Robinson Technical School. He loved to play the guitar, and won second place in a local guitar competition. He was a big hearted, easy going person who enjoyed drawing, sketching and fishing.

He also collected football memorabilia. He attended Redeemer Lutheran Church. In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include two brothers, Robert Regenold, of Elizabethton; David Regenold and his wife, Hang Nguyen, of Arizona; and a sister, Linda Regenold, of Knoxville.

Several aunts, uncles and extended family members also survive. A service to honor the life of Mr. Regenold will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton with Rev. Nathan Jennings officiating.

The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 PM on Sunday prior to the service. Interment will follow the funeral service at 2:30 PM at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
