Obituary for Barbara A. Sullivan FULLERTON—Barbara A. Sullivan, 85, of Fullerton, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, as the result of a car accident north of Grand Island. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at Fullerton Community Church in Fullerton. Reverend Janice Farrell and Pastor Linda Lambert will officiate.

Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 22nd at the church. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home of Fullerton is serving the family.

Barbara was born August 21, 1932 to James and Althey (Weaver) Good in rural Merrick County, Nebraska. She attended District 23 to the eighth grade and graduated from Fullerton High School in 1950. After high school, she worked at the Nance County Journal.

On May 6, 1956, she married Dale Sullivan and to this union, four children were born: Donald, Penny, Jody, and Dennis. They resided and farmed in rural Nance and Merrick County southwest of Fullerton. She later held several jobs throughout her years, a few of which included working at McCain Foods and as a waitress at Driesbach’s, Dowd’s Steakhouse, and Grand Island Saddle Club.

She was a member of Fullerton Community Church (formerly First Presbyterian Church), The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, and Extension Club. She enjoyed mowing, landscaping, and cooking as well as watching her grandchildren’s activities. She is survived by four children, Donald Sullivan of Fullerton, Penny (Rod) Wetovick of Fullerton, Jody (Scott) Gleason of Kildeer, IL, and Dennis Sullivan of Ankeny, IA; brother, James D. Good of Grand Island; sister-in-law, Suzanne Good of Longmont, CO; brother-in-law, Robert Sullivan of Grand Island; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Dale Sullivan; brother, Robert Good; granddaughter, Elisha Sullivan-Gleason; brother-in-law, Harold Sullivan; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Sullivan, Marge Good, and Betty Sullivan.
