Obituary for Berniece Mae Plumbtree BELGRADE—Berniece Mae Plumbtree, 96, of Belgrade, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Litzenberg Memorial Long Term Care in Central City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton with Reverend Janice Farrell officiating. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton is serving the family. Berniece was born March 18, 1922 to Walter and Marie (Dickman) Church in Clarks, Nebraska.

She attended Pleasant Hill and Clarks Public Schools. She waitressed at several cafes in Fullerton. On December 3, 1943, she married Lyle Plumbtree at Beloit, Kansas.

They made their home on a farm near Belgrade. In 1985, Lyle passed away. In 1990, she moved into Fullerton.

She moved to Central City in 2013, where she resided until her passing. She was considered a true farm wife. She enjoyed gardening and flowers, cooking, sewing, and raising her chickens and selling eggs.

She loved spending time with her son and grandchildren. She was a member of Belgrade United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Jim (Gwen) Plumbtree of Brandon, SD; grandchildren, Tonya (Eric) Robinson of Brandon, SD, Teresa (Charlie) Scott of Sioux Falls, SD, Jeff (Kari) Plumbtree of Brandon, SD, and Dan Plumbtree of Harrisburg, SD; six great-grandchildren, Carter Robinson, Harper and Sutton Scott, and Madeline, Molly, and Caiden Plumbtree; six sisters, Donna Reisner of Central City, Sharon (Art) Lambert of York, Twila Mangus of York, Erma Cornwell of York, Alice (Denny) Faeh of Central City, and Faye Gregor of Central City; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; her parents; two sisters, Blanche Shively and Betty Gulbrandson; and seven brothers, Milford, Arnold, Jack, Ron, Harold, Forrest, and Dean Church.
