Obituary for Ralph ‘Tuff’ Bridger BELGRADE – Ralph (Tuff) Bridger, 86, of Belgrade, NE, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Boone County Medical Center in Albion, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton with Reverend Vern Olson officiating. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 16th at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton is serving the family. Ralph was born May 6, 1931 in Lincoln, NE to Roy and Eulalia (Zuerlein) Bridger.

He married Ruby Bishop on May 25, 1952, in Fullerton, NE. The couple resided in the Belgrade and Cedar Rapids area for 65 years. Ralph was employed at the Army Ammunition Plant in Grand Island, NE for 10 years.

Ralph then drove a semi truck over the road from midwest to the west coast for 50 years. He retired from the road in 2009. Ralph and Ruby enjoyed polka dances, traveling, family reunions, flower gardening, outdoor Christmas decorating, and spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby of Belgrade; daughter, Delilia (Larry) Hornung of Belgrade; son, Rocky (Janice) Bridger of Fullerton, daughters, Vonda (Leonard) Plumbtree of Fullerton, Rhonda Welch of Belgrade, Colleen (Charlie) Dubas of Palmer; son, Tim Bridger of Grand Island; daughters, Luann (Dave) Bialas of Hastings and Dixie Bridger of Belgrade; twenty-three grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Eulalia; daughter, Dallas; granddaughter, Carmen Baldwin; grandson, Shawn Baldwin; great-grandson, Preston Bridger; sisters, Arnette (Glenn) Furby of Fullerton and Donna (Ernest) Coufal of Plattsmouth; brothers, Don (Darlene) Bridger of Central City and Lynn Bridger of Fullerton.
