Duane Albin Bosak, August 21, 1955 — June 23, 2018

Obituary for Duane Albin Bosak FULLERTON—Duane Albin Bosak, 62, of Fullerton, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Genoa Community Hospital in Genoa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton with Reverend David Fulton officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Fullerton.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 26th with a 7 p.m. rosary and scripture service at the church. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is serving the family. Duane was born August 21, 1955 to the late Emil and Evelyn (Gorecki) Bosak of Genoa.

He graduated from Genoa High School in 1973. On June 25, 1977, he married Pat Dilla at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton. Duane held many jobs throughout the years including working at J&L Steakhouse of Fullerton and Biba Engineering of Geneva.

He worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads for 32 years. At the time of his death, he was employed at Preferred Sands of Genoa. He was a member of Fullerton Volunteer Fire Department for 34 years, Knights of Columbus, and Sons of American Legion.

He was a recipient of the honorary “F” Award from the Fullerton F Club. He also spent many years on the chain gang for Fullerton football. He enjoyed coaching and playing softball, gardening, hunting, and fishing.

Duane was an avid Steeler’s fan and his family was his top priority. Duane cherished every moment spent following his children and grandchildren’s activities. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pat Bosak of Fullerton; son, Kevin (Jillian) Bosak of Omaha; daughter, Krista Bosak of Overland Park, KS; four granddaughters, Jaylin, Kinslee, Adalin, and Breklee; brother, Daryl ‘George’ (Christy) Bosak of Fullerton; and nephews, Jake (Melissa) Bosak and family of Grand Island and Nick (Kate) Bosak and family of Fullerton.
