Obituary for Stephanie Helen Small FULLERTON—Stephanie Helen Small, 97, of Fullerton, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Fullerton Care and Rehabilitation Center in Fullerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2018, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Fullerton with Reverend David Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Fullerton.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary and scripture service on Thursday, May 3rd at the church. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton is in charge of the arrangements. Stephanie was born August 31, 1920 to John and Mary (Maslonka) Slusarski in rural Platte County near Duncan.

She graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in Columbus in 1939. On November 26, 1947, she married Leonard Small at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. To this union, eight children were born.

They farmed in the Monroe area from 1948 to 1955. They moved to Fullerton and farmed from 1955 until they retired and moved to town in 1984. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Altar Society.

She enjoyed baking, gardening, canning, polka music, and had a tradition of singing Christmas carols. Most of all, she loved being surrounded by family. She is survived by seven children, Allen (Marilyn) Small of Fullerton, Gerald (Penny) Small of Fullerton, Robert Small of Fullerton, John (Ginette) Small of Fullerton, Joseph Small of Fullerton, Daniel (Beth) Small of Hastings, and Mary (Mark) Wyman of Silver Creek; 28 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marion (Tessie) Slusarski, Edward Slusarski, John (Sandy) Stevens, and Francis (Donna) Slusarski; sister, Sister Roseria Slusarski; and sister-in-law, Minnie Slusarski.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; son, Michael; great-grandson, Archie Small; her parents; sisters, Emilia (Alphonse) Micek and Cecelia Slusarski; and brothers, Ted (Marcella) Slusarski, Rudy (Irene) Slusarski, and Lonnie Slusarski.
