Neislein, 87, of Perryville, died March 29, 2019 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville, MO. She was born March 31, 1931 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of Ernie L. and Rosa (Ditterline) Joy. She and Wilbert “Wib” Neislein were married on July 28, 1951.

He preceded her in death on May 30, 2010. Barbara was a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Barbara volunteered for 32 years with Perry County Memorial Hospital serving on the auxiliary board and holding officer positions for most of those years. In 2018 she was awarded honorary lifetime auxiliary membership in honor of her many years of contributions. Survivors include one son, Frank Neislein of Perryville, two sisters, Ella Geile and Patsy (Kenneth) Kaempfe all of Perryville, four grandchildren, Timothy (Rachael) Neislein, David (Brandy) Neislein, Laura Neislein and Gregory Neislein and two great grandchildren, Thomas and Kaitlyn Neislein.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Robert and Billy Joy and two sisters, Betty Jane Joy and Carol Wells. Visitation will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, March 31 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm and on Monday, April 1 from 6:30 – 9:00 am. She will then be taken to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville for Service at 10:30 am with Rev.

Matthew Marks. Burial in church cemetery. Memorials preferred to Immanuel Radio Broadcast or Immanuel Lutheran School Tuition Assistance Fund.
